The News Center is the central point of contact for news from the world of security.

• Newsfeeds
  
  The news center fetches news from well-known IT security sources at short intervals and presents them clearly. The display is strongly oriented towards common e-mail programs and is intended to provide a familiar environment.
  
  
• Research
  
  TaVoS combines information from other Tavos modules such as the Vulnerability Database or Dependency Manager directly in the News Viewer. This allows you to research further details about the news item directly in TaVoS or to immediately deduce whether this news item is relevant to you or your company.
  
  
• Post-Marketing Surveillance
  
  The News Center provides advanced notification, filtering, and logging capabilities for traceability of your regulatory evidence activities.
  
  
• Information Distribution
  
  Forward relevant information directly to the appropriate contacts to respond quickly and efficiently when a security announcement relevant to you or your company is published.

Dependency Manager

Deposit own or third-party software products and permanently monitor for new vulnerabilities.

• Assets
  
  In Dependency Manager, you manage the software products you use in an intuitive and clear interface.
  
  
• Security Monitoring
  
  The software products entered in Dependency Manager are permanently monitored by TaVoS and warned as soon as security vulnerabilities become known.
  
  
• SOUP List
  
  For regulatory markets and also for your own overview, it is advisable to keep a so-called SOUP list. This records which components are included in your own software product. Not only that these components are monitored from now on with the entry in the Dependency Manager, you can also export the list and have it referenced with when the last check was performed and which findings there were in the past. You can also document the resulting actions directly in the Dependency Manager.

Alert Hub

Gathering point of all generated warnings

Collection point for all automatically generated alerts from the News Center, Vulnerability Center based on your input in Dependency Manager.

When the News Center or Vulnerability Center each receive new information from your sources, the information is checked against your data in the Dependency Manager - and thus the alerts are generated for the Alert Hub.

From now on, you have the possibility to view these messages and to document their processing there, e.g. that the problem has been delegated or otherwise resolved.

This way, you always keep an overview and no problem gets lost in the crowd.

Vulnerability Center

Aggregated software vulnerabilities database

While the News Center shows the "now", you can see the "what was" in the Vulnerability Center. An extremely comprehensive collection of known vulnerabilities for research and monitoring.

• Vulnerability Database
  
  The main function of the Vulnerability Center is to provide information about vulnerabilities in software products and software components. This huge database is used for detailed analysis of the data collected by TaVoS. Currently, this database contains over 140,000 vulnerability entries dating back to 1999.  
  
  
• Analysis of the general security situation
  
  The Vulnerability Center presents statistics for analyzing the current security situation. As a user, you can therefore deduce the future security situation in advance through trends and initiate measures even before the security incident occurs.
  
  
• Up-to-dateness and alerting
  
  We regularly update the vulnerability databases using the TaVoS update functionality. Among other things, it serves as a basis for monitoring your elements entered in Dependency Managers. As a supplement for even faster information retrieval, we also offer the News Center, which can report problems as soon as they become public. Entries in security databases are checked intensively beforehand and therefore cannot be provided at the same speed. But in the aftermath, the information is more detailed and even more accurate.

  With the help of Dependency Manager, you can document your actions on known vulnerabilities of your deployed software products or components.
